TSAMPA ENERGY BALLS

Delicious and nutritious! Energy balls are made from Tsampa – roasted barley that climbers and Sherpas have relied on for centuries for long-lasting energy.

INSTRUCTIONS

  • 1.In a large bowl, combine the tsampa, almond butter, honey, shredded coconut, dried fruit, nuts, cinnamon and salt.
  • 2.Using your hands, remove the dough by spoonfuls and form small balls. The balls can be rolled in coconut or cocoa.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup of tsampa
  • 1/2 cup almond butter (or peanut butter)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/4 cup chopped dried fruit (such as dates, figs or apricots)
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (such as walnuts, pecans or hazelnuts)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
