INSTRUCTIONS
- 1.To prepare the barley flakes: Add the barley flakes and 2 cups of milk (or water) to a pot. Add a pinch of salt.
- 2.Cooking: Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, until the flakes are soft and the porridge has thickened. If the porridge is too thick, you can add more milk or water as needed.
- 3.Flavoring: When the porridge is ready, add honey (or sugar), cinnamon and vanilla. Stir.
