Miso is a traditional Japanese seasoning paste, a versatile condiment and soup base.
BARLEE´S miso is produced by fermenting organic barley and chickpeas in the presence of noble mould (koji). It belongs to the category of light miso – shiro miso. It is milder and sweeter in taste than darker miso, which undergoes a longer fermentation. In general, the darker the miso, the longer it has fermented and the more intense its flavour. Contains chickpea pieces.
