Tsampa can be enjoyed in many ways. It is particularly suitable as a very quick and hearty breakfast or snack, however. NOT INSTATIVE! It is only finely ground to preserve all the nutrients. However, Tsampa can also be used to create other amazing savoury and sweet dishes. It can be added to smoothies or yoghurt. Recipes for TSAMP can be found HERE.

Carbohydrates: Tsampa is a good source of complex carbohydrates that provide the body with energy for various physical activities. Protein: Tsampa is relatively high in protein, which is essential for building and repairing tissues and supporting various bodily functions.
Beta-glucans: Tsampa is a good source of beta-glucans. “Beta-glucans contribute to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels”, “Consumption of barley beta-glucan as part of a meal helps to limit the rise in blood glucose levels after that meal” – approved health claims.
Vitamins: Tsampa contains several vitamins, including B vitamins such as thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3) and vitamin B6. Minerals: Tsampa is rich in minerals such as phosphorus, magnesium and zinc. Tsampa is also a good source of antioxidants.
Fat: Tsampa is relatively low in fat, making it a good choice for those watching their fat intake.
