I am Barlee’s Original, roasted from Czech organic barley. You can drink me all day long, even before going to bed, because I am naturally caffeine-free. I am suitable for the whole family, including children. Barlee’s Original is also rich in nutrients that will provide you with a hearty serving of energy and support your body and your senses.
How do I taste? I am dark as coffee and my taste is slightly earthy, bitter, with a hint of nuts at the end. Tastes great with just milk, whether you prefer cow’s milk or a plant-based alternative.
WITHOUT PACKAGING – Since ecology is a big topic for us, we offer you the opportunity to purchase Barlee’s Original in a returnable container. At the moment, we have only used this form for non-package shops, but now we also offer it directly to you. Barlee’s Original will be delivered directly to you without additional shipping packaging. In addition, the food container is already included in the price of the product. If you do not use the container at home, you can send it back to us at our expense. We will be happy to help you with the shipping over the phone.

Description
Ingredients: 100% organic roasted barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) of Czech origin (BIO – product of organic farming). The product contains gluten.
Ecology
Ecology is very important to us. Our product is a Czech patriot. It is made purely from Czech organic barley. The complete production process is also realized in the Czech Republic. We pay tribute to Czech organic farming. We are really happy that we have managed to launch a product made from local ingredients that is free of pesticides and has a minimal carbon footprint, and therefore does not have to be transported across the world (unfortunately, as is the case with coffee, for example).
PACKAGING: The flat-bottomed bag is made of black kraft paper, innovative I’m Green (sugar third) film and KPET film as a barrier.
As part of increasing environmental education in the Czech Republic, we also offer a complementary range of products that support this idea.

- Moka kettle
Pour water into the bottom of the kettle. Fill the funnel-shaped hopper to the brim with BARLEE´S ORIGINAL, do not press. The amount of BARLEE’S ORIGINAL is determined by the size of the pot, for 4 cups you will need about 30g. Screw on the top and bring to the boil. Remove the kettle from the stove just before the extraction is complete. - French press
For 100ml of water you will need 6-7 g of BARLEE´S ORIGINAL. Pour the desired amount of BARLEE´S ORIGINAL mixture into the French press. Boil the water and let it stand for about half a minute to bring the temperature down to 93-94 °C. Slowly pour the BARLEE´S ORIGINAL mixture with hot water, stir and let stand for 5-6 minutes. Then slowly squeeze and you’re done. - BARLEE´S ORIGINAL filtered mixture
For preparation in Chemex, Hario V60 or Clever prepare 6-7 g of BARLEE´S ORIGINAL mixture per 100 ml of water. First rinse the filter with hot water, pour in the BARLEE´S ORIGINAL mixture, pour in 30 ml of water at a temperature of 93-94 °C and wait 30 seconds. Then add the remaining water in a circular motion from the centre. Moccamaster has a similarly simple preparation. - Lever coffee maker
Pour the BARLEE´S ORIGINAL loose/ground mixture into your strainer in the lever of the coffee maker. The quantity of BARLEE´S ORIGINAL corresponds to the same portion as “classic” coffee – 7-8g per serving. Of course, the ratio of the amount of BARLEE’S ORIGINAL and water will help you achieve your optimal intensity. - Cold brew
Pour the required amount of BARLEE’S ORIGINAL (6-7 g per 100 ml of water) into a container with a cap, pour in the required amount of cold water and leave to extract in a closed container in the fridge for 18-24h. Strain, put ice in a glass, pour in chilled cold brew and garnish with an orange slice and mint.
