BARLEE’S BARLEY GRAINS CONTAINS:
PROTEIN: Barlee’s barley groats are a great source of protein, which is essential for building and repairing tissues and supporting various bodily functions.
BETA-GLUCAN: Barlee’s barley groats are a good source of beta-glucans. “Beta-glucans contribute to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels”,
“Consuming barley beta-glucan as part of a meal helps to reduce the rise in blood glucose levels after that meal” – approved health claim
claim. Despite the low gluten content in barley (5%), beta-glucans also slow down the digestion of gluten.
VITAMINS: Barlee’s barley groats help lower LDL (“bad”) levels
cholesterol, thereby reducing the risk of heart disease. They contain several vitamins, including B vitamins such as thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3)
and vitamin B6.
